Metro FC has once again contracted with Sports Speed Inc. to conduct a summer sports acceleration camp.  The Camp will conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting July 22nd at Delco Park.  The cost is $100 per player and is open to all Metro Soccer Players and other athletes in their immediate families.

We will be holding a FINAL Uniform Fitting at Delco Park, July 5th, 12:00 - 2:00

This will be the last opportunity for players to actually try on uniforms.    If  are unable to attend please e-mail your Uniform requirments to pressel_sam@hotmail.com  All uniform orders MUST be submitted by Monday July 7th.

 

METRO FC will be hosting FREE street soccer every Sunday evening in July at Delco Park.

Street soccer is the best way for kids to go and play for the fun of it ...without parent coaching, instruction from coaches, and no pressure for results. Kids will show up, be randomly assigned teams, and then go play! This program is for ALL soccer players u8-u14. You do not have to be currently a Metro player to participate! Come out and play FOR THE FUN OF IT!

Times: U8-U14 Girls 5:30-6:45pm
              U8-U14 Boys 6:45-8:00pm

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR BOYS U16 RAPIDS!!!! 

They advanced to the Regional Semi-Finals after defeating South Dakota’s Great Plains Force and Minnesota’s St. Criox Red Devils, both teams were State Champs.  Metro then tied Nebraska’s State Champs the NFC Bellator.   METRO B16 Rapids are coached by our Director Of Coaching, Kevin Arcuri.   The team’s dedication and hard work is to be commended. 

In the Semi-Finals, Metro played exceptionally well but came up on the short end of a 3-2 overtime loss to Eclipse from Illinois. The team played with only 12 or 13 healthy players all week and played some outstanding soccer against the top teams in Region II. Metro now closes out the season with an international friendly against the U16 India National Team on July 6th. The game will be played in Charleston,WVA.

Congratulations to the boys for representing the Dayton area at Regionals. Metro FC was the only Dayton area team to advance to the Region II Tournament.

The Southern Ohio Adult Soccer Association is proud to announce that Jennifer Stubbs, has been selected for inclusion in the United States Adult Soccer Association Elite Player Program. The SOASA EPP State Scout, Kevin Arcuri selected her to attend the Women’s EPP Camp in Ontario, CA from July 3 through July 6. The purpose of the Elite Player Program camp is to identify players to be selected to play on the USASA Women’s National Team. She is quite possibly the only player from the fourteen state Midwest Region selected into the Elite Player Program. Jen was an All-American at the University of Dayton, playing there from ’01-’04. The quality of her play, individual skills, fitness and competitive spirit will represent SOASA at the highest level of the USASA. We will all be rooting for her and hoping she makes the team!
